Télécom Sud Paris and Ecole de management organised under the lead of Sebatien Cauwet (incubator director) the Challenge Entreprendre. They gather 80 teams mixed of engineers and managers, it means more than 400 students involved. During one week they work hard on a project of start up creation, covering all the aspects of a company : technology, market, funding, HR, … and we had the final Jury last friday, it was actually a great pleasure to see all this young talents ready to argue to defend their project in front of the Jury.

Few of them will continue until the creation, but all of them will have gone through a full process of start up creation, and I am sure that in few years when opportunities will appear they will be ready and I am sure also that even in large companies this experience will be fruitfull to be ready to have an entrepreneurship spirit to create new business.

Last year everything was 3D, this year is the year of cloud computing, many offers : service, infrastructure, storage virtualization or on more technology side security, disaster recovering for example.

Beside this massive message from 2011 Cebit I would like to stress some exciting companies. First of all I was very pleased to meet our dear friends from Egypt-On who were present in this complex period of time for them. Turkey was the invited country with an incredible presence in the different halls. A pleasure to discover how Turkey is speeding up on the innovation path with many interesting SMEs on a large diversity of topics:

Enocta the leading Turkish e-learning company focused on along the life training more than 200 contents with 1 M users.

Koda a document management company from physical document to digital, with their own scanning infrastructure

Visilab a small start up on website analysis and recommendation engine Borda develop some wearable RFID reader and SW to track products as people. They work on hospital applications and they propose a fair and convention tracking system.

Labris a small start up on security SW and appliances one of the few companies certified EAL4+ common criteria

KocSystem a pretty large SW company belonging to the Koc group (8% Turkey GDP), they pointed out a digital signage offer Volls showed a set of digital signage

Alcatel with a strong presence in Turkey represented by its engineering center

Few french companies where present like

I2S who presented their book scanner on a large booth

The Gostai robots were moving everywhere and created a strong interest

As every years an impressive booth from Fraunhoffer just to cite one demonstration : the interactive shop window with natural gestural interaction

It was good to see the mobile Fitnesscoach a UService ITEA project result presented by DFK IWI

Less present than last year it remained some 3D technologies demonstrated like:
        • Mobile 3D over LTE shown by Fraunhoffer HHI
        • A set of 3D screens without glasses by United Entertainment the previous Visumotion a Malaysian, germane, French company (an example of these new companies picking talents wherever it is, all over the world). The 3D perception begins to be of acceptable quality for casual users, a great potential.

Parce que vous téléphoner à tous est difficile

Parce que un message Twitter est un peu court pour développer une idée

Parce que garder mémoire de ce que l’on dit peut être gênant parfois mais utile souvent si l’info transmise n’est pas que passagère (on verra bien)

Dans ce blog j’ai l’intention de poster des informations sur l’innovation qui peuvent vous être utile. Mes différentes responsabilités me mettent dans une position d’observation que je trouve merveilleuse et que je souhaite partager avec vous, que ce soit sur les résultats de recherche marquantes, les sujets d’innovations, les start up innovantes (nous en générons 65 nouvelles par an dans notre réseau des incubateurs des différentes écoles), les projets stratégiques à l’échelle européenne sans oublier la valeur majeure qui est les gens qui poussent toutes ces nouveautés.

Le monde change, plus rien n’est comme avant quel bonheur la gestion du changement
